Is Your Obstetrician a Member of the ECHN Medical Staff?
Obstetricians may deliver babies only at the hospitals where they are a member of the medical staff. A growing number of women today are deciding on a hospital first and then choosing from among the doctors on its medical staff for OB/GYN care - in many cases even before they become pregnant.
With today's busy lifestyle, expectant parents are looking closer to home for the health services they need.
ECHN's hospitals offer you the best of both worlds - the right place to deliver your baby, and skilled, caring obstetricians who have the experience and expertise it takes to guide you and your baby safely through the pregnancy and birth.

Mentor/Doula Program
The ECHN Mentor/Doula Program has been created through a grant from The March of Dimes to provide a nurturing ongoing service for pregnant women with maternal/fetal conditions that require specialized care. Eligible women must be planning to deliver at Manchester Memorial Hospital or Rockville General Hospital.
Options for prenatal care include ECHN physicians/midwives and the Maternity Care Center at Rockville General Hospital. This service is provided free of charge to those who qualify.
